The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have announced that they will not participate in the African National Congress (ANC)’s Government of National Unity (GNU).
Although the EFF shares some values with the ANC, the party has expressed that it does not align with certain other parties within the proposed GNU.
Following the general elections, which did not yield a decisive winner, the ANC proposed forming a GNU to govern with representation from all parties in Parliament.
EFF Leader Julius Malema stated that the EFF cannot collaborate with parties funded by the billionaire Oppenheimer family.
