Boity Thulo is on a journey- a journey to find inner peace and tranquility.
The actress and TV personality has all but disappeared off the radar after taking up a job on Club 808 but , as she told Sowetan recently, that’s because she’s on a spiritual journey to find herself.
She told the paper that she got to a point in her life where everything was going well for her, but she still couldn’t find happiness. “I knew it had nothing to do with the physical, but with the internal spiritual world and so I went on this journey,” she says.
The journey includes weekend retreats in Magaliesburg, where contact with the outside world is cut off and where she is given ample opportunity to meditate without the stresses of the world.
Boity this week spoke about wanting to regain the fitness and body she once had and reveals that part of her journey is changing the way she eats. She now sticks to a strict diet, which includes eggs, tuna, avo and oats.
She also doesn’t want to burn herself out by working on too many projects at once.
“My career is going good and I can think more and breathe more and be with myself and listen to myself instead of rushing,” she tells the paper.
